Support the Citizens Rights Project

Join us in protecting the rights of EU citizens in Scotland. Become a member or supporter and help us continue our mission.

Our project does vital work for the quarter million EU and other European citizens in Scotland. Since we launched the project in 2018, we have organised a vast programme of activities and information to:

– help EU citizens to secure their rights to continue to live in Scotland;

– inform them about their rights to work, study, and access public services;

– ensure their needs and concerns are represented to government, both central and local, employers, in the media, and in civic society generally;

– support them to take an active part in the democratic process and the community.

We have been able to undertake our activities through the work of our hard working and committed staff, volunteers across Scotland, and of course through the funding we have received over the years from a number of bodies, without which we could not operate.

However, almost all our external funding is for one or more of our specific projects. We need to raise funds ourselves to cover many of our overheads, and to be able to undertake projects and campaigns which are not covered by our grants.

That is why we are asking those who know about our work to consider signing up to become a member. Individual membership costs only £20 a year, and groups and organisations can join for £50 a year. You can also make an additional donation if you wish to do so. By making a regular commitment to make a small membership fee (or donation) to our project, you can help give us the essential financial stability we need to continue our programme in the future when our work for European citizens will be just as important as now. As a regular supporter, you will receive regular information about our work, receive discounts for any of our event for which a fee is charged, and have an opportunity to meet with the project’s staff and directors to discuss our programme and have an input into our plans for future activities.

We hope you will become one of our members. You can of course cancel your payments at any time. If you do not wish to become a member, but would still like to give regular support, you can become a supporter. To become a member or supporter, please fill in the forms attached (including the standing order form) and then return them to us at our office at St Margaret’s House (Room G7), 151 London Road, Edinburgh, or by email to: info@citizensrightsproject.org
