There is less than 10 months left to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS). All citizens required to apply who do not do so by 30/06/2020 will have no right to reside in the UK after this date.

EUSS Applications for vulnerable citizens can be a lengthy process. Therefore, identifying them as soon as possible is key to guarantee their rights in the future.

This webinar is a follow up to our webinar on 13/10/2020 and will focus on what happen after receiving pre-settled or settled status. You will learn:

• How to check the status online and how to support those with no access to the Internet and/or poor English or digital skills.
• How to prove someone’s status to landlords, employers, NHS, banks and others and keep their details up-to-date.
• What is next for citizens with pre-settled status and the concept of “continuous residence”

This joint webinar is organised by the Citizens Rights Project in co-operation with our partners from Drummond Miller LLP.

The principal speaker will be Janey Armstrong, a partner at Drummond Miller LLP who leads the immigration team in the firm’s Glasgow office. Since the Brexit referendum, she has been advising EEA nationals and their family members about their right to reside in the UK. She specialises in helping individuals with complex cases to apply for status through the EU Settlement Scheme.  Janey, and other solicitors at Drummond Miller, have presented at a number of Citizens’ Right Project events across Scotland.

*Eg: Elderly, children in care, victims of domestic abuse, homeless people, people with chaotic live styles, no access to the Internet, poor digital skills and/or poor English knowledge, and others.
