The EU Settlement Scheme deadline has passed – now what?

07 December 2021, 03:00 - 07 December 2021, 16:30

Join this webinar to learn what is next for EU citizens in Scotland, why it is important to continue talking about the EU Settlement scheme, and what you can do to help us raise awareness about it.

The deadline might have passed, but the issues are far from over. In fact, cases are increasingly more complex. We need to act now.

This event is aimed at case and frontline workers in consulates, local authorities, third sector and community organisations, and any individuals providing support and services to people who might be facing barriers when applying to the scheme or accessing their migrant status.

In this online seminar we will give you key notions about the scheme so you can help the people you support or refer them to the right service. We will talk about:

  • A brief reminder about the EU Settlement Scheme and why it is still relevant.
  • Late applications to the scheme.
  • How to access, update and prove the digital status.
  • Joining family members
  • Switching from pre-setted to settled.
  • Proving the right to work.
  • And others.

This event has been organised in collaboration with Settled and Feniks, and with the financial support of the Scottish Government, the Home Office and the Justice Together Initiative.
