Views from EU citizens in Scotland on Brexit

June 13, 2019 @ 6:15 pm - 7:45 pm

FREE

The Scottish Government has funded a number of organisations working with EU citizens in Scotland to consider the implications of Brexit for them and how to overcome the challenges it raises. This event will launch their publication, BREXIT: the unheard voices. Views from stakeholders across Scotland on leaving the EU. The event will also give feedback from that engagement with EU27 citizens, and will hear from Scottish Minister Michael Russell who will outline how the Scottish Government is responding to those concerns. He will also speak about the latest developments in the Brexit process, including the position with the current negotiations with the UK.

The event will also feature a report from the Scottish Citizens Right Project on its programme of engagement with EU27 citizens across Scotland. The project has organised more than 40 events for EU27 citizens across Scotland, ranging from Shetland, the central belt, to Ayrshire. The coordinator of the project will describe the work of the project, and what EU27 citizens have been saying about Brexit, and the principal issues they have been raised in the course of the project’s work.

This event will be an opportunity to find out more about what EU citizens in Scotland are saying about Brexit, to hear how the Scottish Government is responding to those concerns, and to put your views to the Scottish Government on these issues.

Admission is free, but please book a place(s) in advance. We recommend you register as soon as possible as places are limited.
