Providing information, advice, and support on UK immigration was at heart of our activities from the very beginning of the Citizens’ Rights Project’s existence. From racing with time to secure the right to reside for thousands of EU nationals before the EU Settlement Scheme deadline, through raising awareness of Windrush Scheme, to providing technical support for non-EU nationals in creating their eVisa accounts, we aimed to ensure that vulnerable migrants can overcome the barriers in exercising the rights they are entitled to. Because without the right to reside, no other rights are available to them. Citizens Rights Project has Immigration Level 1 accreditation by the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA). Below you can find our existing immigration services.

EU Settlement Scheme
Providing advice and support with late applications, pre-settled to settled, family reunions, and others.

eVISA TRANSITION
Technical support with creating eVisa accounts for migrants with physical immigration documents.
Make a difference

Despite rising demand, immigration advice and support remain limited across Scotland and the wider UK. As we continue to develop our services, our focus remains on supporting European communities navigating the complexities of the UK’s immigration system. This includes not only EU nationals but also other Europeans, such as Ukrainians under visa schemes and seasonal workers, who face significant challenges under the current system.
While our core work remains with European migrants, we are also open to revisiting past projects, such as our involvement in Windrush support, where we would be keen to collaborate with diverse communities.
If you have ideas for potential collaborations that align with our mission, or if you want to inspire us with new possibilities, we’d love to hear from you.
