Online Seminar | Settled Status and pre-settled status

06 Μαΐου 2020, 16:00 - 06 Μαΐου 2020, 17:30

The Citizens Rights Project has organised a series of free on-line webinars looking at EU citizens’ rights in the UK after Brexit, featuring a wide range of legal experts and other speakers.

Our second webinar of the series “EU Citizens’ Rights in the UK after Brexit: the law and the practice” will be run by Kenneth Campbell QC.

EU citizens who wish to remain in the UK after the end of 2020 will in most cases have to apply under the EU Settlement Scheme to do so, and if successful will be awarded ‘settled status’ or ‘pre-settled status.’ Kenneth Campbell will describe the scheme, including the details of who needs or is able to apply, qualifications to obtain status, definition of ‘continuous residence’, what rights will be acquired by having settled or pre-settled status, and what rights children and other family members can acquire.

As well as providing legal advice for EU citizens, Kenneth has considerable experience in human rights and wider public law litigation.
