Joanna Zawadzka is an activist, organiser and campaigner with over 10 years of experience of campaigning on cross-cultural exchange and positive attitudes towards migrants. She moved to Edinburgh from Poland in 2006 after graduating in Journalism and Social Communication and since then she worked with a number of UK and international NGOs and Charities. In the past decade, she has helped to organise grassroots movements as well as establish, manage and coordinate broad campaign coalitions. She developed a number of successful projects to aid integration, promote equality, diversity and improve civic participation of migrants, refugees and ethnic minority communities. Her projects include Bloody Foreigners Campaign, Migrants Scotland, One Day Without Us Edinburgh, Fife Welcomes Refugees, Vote! You Are At Home Campaign and Polish Cultural Festival.
