Dorota Peszkowska has worked as a community journalist and a social activist since moving to Scotland in October 2014. Projects she’s working on include the “Vote. You Are At Home – Scotland” encouraging Polish migrants to register to vote in the UK and the “EU Citizens’ Rights Project” – an initiative providing free legal advice on Brexit to EU nationals in Scotland. She is a board member of Word Polishers – Literary Club, inviting prominent Polish writers to Edinburgh for author meetings. As a journalist, she has collaborated with BBC Radio Scotland, Sunday Herald, Gazeta Wyborcza – a Polish daily, Duży Format and Political Critique – political magazines and Emito.net – the largest website for Polish expats in Scotland.
